  The teachers and staff are top notch and extremely professional. My daughter switched from another preschool where she was bored and having trouble with mean girls but she had no trouble at The Goddard School in Cornelius. No boredom, no mean girls. She loved going to Goddard, she loved her teachers, who were warm, funny and full of energy and who challenged and stimulated her. Ms. Deborah and Ms. Dominique did not treat the preschool kids like babies - they treated them like smart children with busy brains and gave them lots of ways to express this. There were always new and engaging ways to play, science experiments, music, fun foreign language and sign language lessons and art projects but my daughter also learned to read and write, something I had not been expecting the kids to learn at this age. My daughter positively bloomed at Goddard. We had experiences with two other preschools before Goddard - a very expensive preschool in Manhattan, and another local preschool in the Lake Norman area and I can say without hesitation that Goddard was the best of the three. The owner, Elaine, and Amy and the rest of administrative staff are extremely capable and receptive to the needs of the parents and run a very tight ship. There are no loose ends, no cutting corners, no careless mistakes. And they do it all with great warmth and smiles. They all truly care about the children. We are so grateful for our experience at Goddard. We hope elementary school will be just as wonderful!

  Both of my daughters (now 8 and 5) attended Goddard starting when they were 2 and through pre-K. Both were totally ready for Kindergarten, and loved their time at Goddard. The teachers were fantastic, the lessons were thorough and there was still a lot of time for fun. We will continue to stop in from time to time so that the girls can visit their favorite teachers. Highly recommend.
